It was so much fun last time in Sofia Common's basement so here we go again! Hope you're not tired of little me :). We gather, eat, drink bubbles and scream Depeche songs all evening. You choose the songs (1981-1993!!) and your cicerone and slave Jonas Thorell executes them on the piano (maybe the same cheesy one as last time or something new, no idea). Everyone sings along.

From experience, it is recommended to book a table and eat upstairs well in advance of the show :). There is certainly better order in the kitchen now, but to be on the safe side.

PS. If anyone is going to Synth in Molkom, DEPECHE JUKEBOX-PIANOBAR-ALLSÅNG time again will be there at the pre-party! It will also be fun :)

On Saturday, September 6th, autumn will be celebrated with Block Party on Södermalm. The concept, which is now returning after last year's successful event, has this year invited even more companies, shops and restaurants in the neighborhood to open their doors for a day filled with art, design, food, drinks and a great atmosphere. All participating neighbors will have their doors open between 1-6 pm, with offers that are only valid during the Block Party.

Spend your Saturday afternoon strolling between local designers, art galleries, bars and restaurants. Take the opportunity to swing by Gustaf Westman for some shopping, learn about tufting at Studio Ateljé or celebrate with Bar Ubu, which is celebrating its third birthday during the neighborhood party!

Jerry Hannan is a distinguished singer/songwriter and entertainer. Jerry was raised on jigs and ballads in San Francisco's Irish community. He grew up listening to the music of his Irish-born parents, The Dubliners and The Clancy Brothers, as well as Cat Stevens. Jerry recorded his own haunting composition, "Society" with Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, featured in Sean Penn's film "Into the Wild" from 2007. "Mad Hannans", a documentary, that tells the touching story of brother Jerry and Sean premiered at the Mill Valley Film Festival in October 2017 to sold out audiences. Jerry has been called aMarin County treasure, often funny, sardonic in a good-natured way, highlighting issues such as ecology, friendship, and love. Jerry now visits Stockholm and makes a unique appearance at Sofia Common.

KALASFOLKET,   Fast folk music based on Swedish and Nordic folk music, partly with roots in Ångermanland, in new exciting versions, with elements of world music and arranged in forms such as hard rock, backbeat and rock'n'roll. The band plays both electrically amplified (drums, electric guitar, electric bass, accordion) and "unplugged" (cajon, guitar, bass, violin and accordion), in pubs, festival stages and at dances! The repertoire consists mainly of their own newly written songs and songs recorded in Anundsjö, but also of more famous fiddle songs arranged in the Kalasfolkets style. After two EPs (Kallkällspolska and Älvornas dans), the first full-length came in 2020, followed by a series of EPs and singles. Folk music or Rocknroll? Yes!

Nathalie Olsson is a playful and melody-loving artist/songwriter with inspiration from Pop/RnB. Now she releases her debut EP - "Out of Order" - a collection of songs that are about not fully understanding herself. The music carries emotions but not always through big words, but the melodies are what take the biggest place in her creation .

She has made the four songs together with co-producer/songwriter Erik Wikström, who is the pianist at the gig. Also on stage is artist/songwriter/producer Lovisa Forsberg (Lovie) .

Nicolai Dunger is a Swedish singer and acoustic songwriter from Piteå, Sweden. He has released twelve EPs and albums, singing primarily in English, and collaborated notably with Will Oldham, the Esbjörn Svensson jazz trio and Ebbot Lundberg. He also records under the alias A Taste of Ra.

Rebecca Tilles is a Swedish-American songwriter and singer whose music moves between ballads and country with double-bottomed lyrics in both Swedish and English that go straight to the point. Her debut album Oh Sister came out in 2021 and later this year she will release new music on the Ella Ruth Institute.  Rebecca works as a music therapist and is active on live stages both in Sweden and the USA.

It's a bit difficult to explain Peter Faxvall's humorous and witty stories in words. The simplest thing to say is that there are few artists who make you so happy to listen to them as Peter Faxvall. He sings about everything and nothing in everyday life with a very humorous undertone.

With him he has Ulf "Grandpa" Engström on double bass and Robert Östlund on saxophone .

Fredrik Furu - meet a unique voice from Ostrobothnia!

With roots in the Ostrobothnian soil and inspired by the Swedish pop and folk tradition, Jakobstad resident Fredrik Furu has been writing songs about life for more than 15 years. There have been 14 chart numbers in Swedish in Finland over the years and Fredrik has also toured with Jack Vreeswijk, Frida Andersson and others and has been the opening act for both Gyllene Tider and Tomas Ledin. In 2023, he was the most played artist on Swedish radio in Finland!


In the spring of 2025, Fredrik is currently performing with the Nordic duet “Mycket mer än två” together with Norwegian singer Silje Torsøe! In June, Fredrik returns to Södermalm, where he lived for five years, for an intimate gig at Sofia Common. Together with guitarist Ben Bergman, he invites us to an intimate and warm concert experience that takes us on a musical journey from the Jakobstad of his childhood, via Bert Karlsson's artist factory "Fame Factory" in Skara and a bustling music-Stockholm, to a star-studded Hollywood and back to the Ostrobothnian roots again.

Malin Bengtsdotter is an artist and singer-songwriter based in Stockholm. She writes on vocals, guitar and harmonica close and timeless songs in Swedish with a strong voice, heartfelt feeling and folk influences.

In the summer of 2022, Malin Bengtsdotter released her debut EP and her first vinyl single on her own label - Bengtsdotter Records.

Lira magazine highlighted her EP as one of the albums of the fall of 2022 on its editorial blog.

Over the years, she has been a member of several folk music constellations, two reggae bands and most recently in Ebo Krdum's band Genuine Mezziga, which won the newcomer of the year at the Folk and World Music Awards 2020.

FRED ASP, An Obscure Drummer in the Empire, as the autobiographical book
that was released last fall is called. Now Fred Asp is back with new music that he will perform at Sofia Common together with Mikael Nilzén. There will certainly be one or two songs from his earlier career as well, and of course there is the opportunity to buy the book on site and have it signed.
